Many thanks for the donation of these tools from Tim and Gayle Smith and Patrick Williams and tools from Alison and Theo. These enabled us to carry out the first Take Root! project in April.

We are very pleased to have received a grant from Somerset County Council’s Health and Wellbeing Budget Scheme through Councillor Harvey Siggs and one from Somerset Community Foundation which will enable us to extend the Take Root! project into another garden attached to a nursing home and to a day centre for older people.

UnLtd have awarded funding to assist in the start-up costs; we received a donation from Waitrose, Wells, Somerset as part of their community matters scheme for February. Youth With a Future funding enabled us to start our Take Root! project with young people who are not in education, employment or training.

Aster have funded several health and well-being projects as well as living wall projects involving families planting together. Somerset County Council's Short Breaks team funded a Scarecrows and Sunflowers Day with children and young people.
